Moonacres Café came highly recommended by the locals, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. The staff were a touch abrupt when we first arrived, but once things settled, the service warmed up nicely. The meals were the real highlight; fresh, beautifully balanced, and full of flavour without trying too hard. The café started off with a calm, peaceful atmosphere… at least until a lively troupe of post-dance-class biddies swept in around 11:30 on a Tuesday, turning the quiet into a spirited matinee. Charming in its own way — but if you’re after serenity, maybe avoid that timeslot. Overall, a great local spot with standout food and a community feel. Just time your visit wisely!

We wanted to be adventurous so we ordered the fruit bruschetta and cured kingfish bruschetta. The cured kingfish was my favourite of the two. Fresh tangy flavours. The fruit bruschetta was good too, but I’m still warming up to rhubarb The Mecca coffee was pretty average. Nothing special.
